The Purpose

"Create Within Reach" is more than just a blog name. The combination of these three words unite together to define the greater purpose of this blog.

Create: To bring something into existence.

Within: Inside (something).

Reach: To stretch out and touch or grasp something.

I believe that all people possess the ability to create. From drawing to cooking, sculpting to singing, dancing to engineering—it is within us to use our creativity to bring our ideas to life.

For some, creating is invigorating; for others, it can be intimidating. This blog is designed to provide step-by-step instructions and inspiration, making it possible for you to reach out and try something new.

For Rebecca Manocchio, art isn't just a hobby - it's a lifelong passion. From spending her summers immersed in art camps to sharing duct tape art tutorials on YouTube and Instructables during her middle school years, her path to teaching art was always clear.

Today, Rebecca brings her passion to the classroom as a high school art teacher. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts, a Business Minor, a K-12 Visual Arts License, and a Master of Arts in Teaching. Outside of her teaching role, Rebecca is a four-time Taco Bell Foundation Live Más Scholar and plays a key role as the communication lead for the alumni council.
